About KDU Global
Krio Descendants Union Global, Inc. is a Texas not-for-profit corporation and the umbrella leadership body for KDU chapters of Sierra Leoneans around the world. The Global Board of Directors is made up of the president or vice-president of each chapter, plus two additional members elected or appointed by that chapter — meaning every chapter has a direct voice in Union-wide decisions.
A member stays in good standing by acting with respect toward fellow members and by keeping the best interests of the Krio community, the Corporation, and its chapters in mind. Global officers — Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, General Secretary, Treasurer, and others — are elected from within the Board of Directors for two-year terms.
What good standing looks like

Respect. No inappropriate, demeaning, or vulgar language or conduct in meetings, events, or in public.

Community first. Considering the best interest of the Krios, the Corporation, and its chapters at all times.

Dues & standing. Current chapter membership, dues paid, and Krio ancestral lineage or association by marriage or adoption.
- U
Unity of purpose. Chapters operating for at least one year with aims consistent with the Corporation's own.
